The Great eHow Experiment

I’m starting a new experiment over on eHow.  For the last two months I have made no ’socializing’ efforts over there at all and my earnings have been nearly identical for the last two months.

No reading, rating and commenting.  No forum posts, nothing.

Since they say over there that your ’socializing’ has a direct bearing on your earnings I think the time is ripe to put that to the test.

Throughout the entire month I’ll be doing two RRCs a day, as well as one forum post.

Let’s see if that has any effect on my earnings at all.

In addition, I’d like to see if this is accounted for daily, or averaged out over the week (or month)

If it’s done daily, I should see an immediate increase in my earnings.  If it’s averaged out I should see a slow but steady increase in my earnings.  If the increases go for a week, then it’s averaged weekly, if they increase for a month, then they are averaged monthly.

My earnings were..

  • April:  $155.74
  • May     $151.12

Here’s my June numbers so far..  (Daily/Month total)

  1. June 1st  $3.05  Interesting, below average
  2. June 2nd $2.04/$5.09  Wow, even more pathetic than I could’ve imagined..
  3. June 3rd  $6.00/$11.09  Above average, and exactly $6, interesting..
  4. June 4th  $5.38/$16.47  Slightly above average.
  5. June 5th NO UPDATE from eHow
  6. June 6th  $10.39/$26.76  I assume a two day update.  A tiny bit above average.
  7. June 7th $4.20/$30.96  Below average again…
  8. June 8th  $4.35/$35.31  Still below average.
  9. June 9th  $4.54/$39.86  Below average..
  10. June 10th  $4.14/$44.01  Argh..
  11. June 11th  $10.35/54.36  Now this is good, a few cents below average for the month..
  12. June 12th  $5.50/$59.86  A little better, another above average day.
  13. June 13th  $6.10/$65.96  Nice..
  14. June 14th  $7.26/$73.22  Very good indeed, this is more like it.
  15. June 15th $5.97/$79.19  Still above average, no  below avg days in almost a week.
  16. June 16th  $7.88/$87.07  Above avg for the month now!
  17. June 17th  $5.12/$92.19    Rolling along..
  18. June 18th  No update
  19. June 19th  $11.67/$103.86  Two day update.
  20. June 20th $4.30/$108.16  First below avg day in weeks, still ahead for the month though..
  21. June 21st  $6.43/$114.59  Nice…
  22. June 22nd $9.33/$123.92  2nd best day this month..
  23. June 23rd  $7.09/$131.01  Not bad at all..
  24. June 24th  $5.13/$136.14  Average day.
  25. June 25th  No Update (Vacation)
  26. June 26th  No Update (Vacation)
  27. June 27th  No Update (Vacation)
  28. June 28th  $10.25/$165.44
