Publish on InfoBarrel? – Use Chitika, It’s Easy Money!

Easy Money!

One of the first things I did when I returned from my ‘vacation’ recently was sign up with Chitika and update my InfoBarrel profile.

Withing days I started earning some extra money each day and I most certainly will get payout from them this month.

If you’re unfamiliar with Chitika it’s an ad site very similar to Adsense. They seem to use more photos in their ads and certainly pay less per click then adsense does. Nonetheless, it’s an easy way to increase your online earnings across the board with about 5 minutes of work. Oh, and I used www.infobarrel.com as the website URL when I registered.

If you haven’t done it already make sure you sign up with Chitika and update your IB profile. You’ll make more money and I can tell you it has NOT in any way reduced my adsense earnings at all.

Online Earning Totals | May ‘09

Well May is over and once again it started off great but slowed down near the end. InfoBarrel and Xomba were the big winners this month as I haven’t touched eHow at all.

Let’s run through the numbers…

eHow: $151.12 – I only published one additional article this month. eHow earnings were almost identical to last month. Quite interesting. I’ve started an eHow experiment this morning. I’ll post it up tomorrow morning, it should be quite interesting…

InfoBarrel/Xomba: $129.97 – Very nice indeed! I love adsense now, in fact, I’m really fired up about it. I like to see exactly what article is earning what, no cryptic algorithms here at all.

Amazon: $72.44 – I’m happy about this, it actually would’ve been higher but my 32nd and 33rd sales of the month occured over the weekend and didn’t ship in time. That would’ve put me into the 6.5% bracket. Oh well, maybe I’ll get there this month.

Bukisa: $2.15 – No surprises, no activity there either…

Affiliate Marketing: $4.44 – A new category for me. I recently purchased the One Week Marketing course and started working a little bit on some campaigns. Hopefully this’ll be much higher next month.

Squidoo: $7.56 – Didn’t do anything there this month, one of my lenses is slowly increasing in rank though (probably the 15 or so ‘blurbs I have pointing at it)

Total is about $367.68 Not bad, but about $30 short of my goal. I’ll need to work harder next month.

I haven’t posted much lately due to an illness (bronchitus) that simply refuses to go away.

For this month I’ll continue to add Xomba content from eHow and start working on some One Week Marketing campaigns.

April ‘09 Online Earnings Report

Well April is over. It began with such high hopes, but simply didn’t pan out. Lots of things happened this month, most noteworthy of course was the eHow article purge.

Let’s go through the numbers..

eHow: $156 (est) I averaged a bit over $5 a day, not bad, but last month I was averaging over $7 a day. The problem is views, last month I was getting about 800 views a day, this month about 400. I need to figure out why this has happened.

Bukisa: $1.44 No surprises here. I had another signup, but alas, no articles produced. Perhaps I should revisit this as one of the articles I published in February is actually making money…

Squidoo: $2.56 Big surprise here, I did absolutely nothing at all on Squidoo this month yet I made three sales from one of my lenses. It might payoff to pursue this further.

InfoBarrel/Xomba: $48.88 This is great, I went from practically no adsense revenue to almost 50 bucks in one month. The amazing thing is almost all the content I produced on both sites (90 articles) has not been promoted yet and they haven’t fully aged either. I expect big things to happen next month.

Kontera: $1.33 A slight increase mainly due to this blog moving up in traffic ranking. I expect this to greatly increase next month.

Niche Blogs: About $5 (adsense) I finally converted two of my domains into niche blogs which are starting to make some revenue. Like my IB/XB content, these haven’t been promoted yet either.

Amazon: $50.10 About what I expected, this should increase next month as the number of links I have out there increases three fold on my IB/XB articles.

Affiliate programs: $0 I haven’t started this yet but I will this weekend. I have a feeling this will be a big part of my income in the coming months..

Unfortunately I have NOT made adsense payout this month, I’m about $20 short. I’m going to go out on a limb here and guesstimate my May adsense income at $150 (maybe more).

Why?? Three reasons..

My articles will have aged a bit more which should result in more traffic (and clicks)
I will have finished promoting them on sites like Digg, Mixx and Folkd
Every one of my articles will have at LEAST three ‘blurbs pointing at it

For those of you who don’t think ‘blurbs do anything check the traffic on my Squidoo lens…

6 'blurbs, 15 hits. Not bad at all...

All in all not the best month but I did learn some things. Like I always say..If you’re not earnin’ , you better be learnin’

March 2009 Online Earnings | The final numbers

Well March is over and my online earnings were quite good, more than I could’ve hoped for.

eHow pulled in over $400 for the month, obviously 1/2 of this came from that one night click frenzy on one of my articles, nontheless, even not counting that I did twice as good as last month.

Amazon sales were the best yet, over$60 for the month!

Bukisa earnings were a bit over $3, hmm, not surprising at all

InfoBarrel made some money, in fact I’m making money there everyday now.

Xomba is also doing quite well, as I can see by my adsense channels. A real money maker!

Squidoo did nothing, but then again, I did nothing there last month, so no surprise.

My Adsense earnings were the highest ever, a touch over $21 for the month.

Kontera was up as well, about $2 for the month.

The totals look like this.

Total $509.91

Over $500, I didn’t expect to reach this level until June. Unfortunately I expect a big drop next month, I’ll probably total at about $350.

I’m continuing to publish articles on InfoBarrel like crazy, I really like that site since you can see exactly what each article is doing for you through adsense channels, I suggest you head over there if you haven’t already.

March 2009 – End of month review

Well, it’s not quite the end of the month but I though I’d get a headstart on this. I have lots of news and info to report on…

eHow earnings should end at a bit over $420. Obviously 1/2 of this came from the one night hit party on my antivirus article, over $200. It hasn’t happened since so I can only attribute this to some big site linked to it for a day, or even just a few hours.

I won’t consider this in my future earnings goals, next month I’m shooting for $300 from ehow, about $10 a day.

Amazon has been a huge surprise! As some of you have noticed my Amazon earnings have tripled from last month. I attribute this to all those ‘How to buy’ articles on eHow which are now maturing. I also got my first direct deposit from Amazon on Friday, which was a nice surprise. It paid my cable bill

Bukisa, well, as usual earnings are disappointing to say the least. I should end the month at about $4 in, with 30 or so articles there, 5 of which were ridiculously promoted and linked to.

InfoBarrel. This is a great surprise to me as my income there has far exceeded my expectations. I now have about 32 articles there and have taken in a bit over $4 in the last three days, or a bit over $1.25 a day. I plan to rewrite all my eHow articles and publish them over there. I’m about %30 finished. When it’s all done I think it’s safe to predict about $4 a day, or a bit over $100 a month in adsense earnings.

Xomba has been another surprise as I’ve now been getting some really nice adsense earnings here as well. After I finish up with the InfoBarrel conversion I’m going to do the same at Xomba. They also have some really nice site updates going into effect very soon.

Between InfoBarrel and Xomba I think it’s quite conservative to predict near $6 a day in adsense earnings.

Oh, my total adsense income for this month is currently sitting at $21.14, this should go up a few dollars by the end of the month.

Kontera has been another big surprise. I’ve never made more than a few nickels a month with it but this month I’m nearing the $1.50 mark. I know, not much but this site needs to pull in $3 a month to ‘pay’ for itself, so this is nice. Problem is this subject matter doesn’t really pull in much in the way of adsense earnings.

Lending Club continues to pull in about $2 a month in interest, by the end of the year this is going to explode. I’ll invest heavily here once all my debts are paid, which, at the current rate, should be by November of this year.

This month I’ll also get my first (and only) payout from InboxDollars. I made it past the $30 mark a few days ago. After I get paid I’ll cancel my account there, my time is just more valuable writing articles.

I’ll expand on all of these as well as post the final numbers in a few days. This has been a great month. I really want to thank all of you for the help and motivation you have given me!

Holy Crap!! – An Avalanche of Money from eHow!

I couldn’t believe it when I saw the earnings update today so I kept refreshing the page over and over again. In fact I still cant believe it.

My eHow earning update was an astounding $203.12 !!

$197.43 came from one article that received over 7000 hits yesterday!

I have no idea how or why it happened, but I will say this. I recently edited the article to improve the keyword density to a touch over 3% and I removed all links in the resource section.

I’m going to spend some time and try to figure out what happened here. It would be real nice to replicate this a few times over!

March Mid-way Earnings Analysis

It looks to be a great month so far. If you check out the earning box on the right both my eHow and Amazon income is far ahead of last months daily rate.

Amazon is a great surprise as I’m averaging over $3 per day, I might even hit $100 this month from Amazon alone!

Ehow is good too, I’ve had some great days, the last few were low but overall I’m averaging over $6 a day.

One thing not listed there is my adsense earnings which are far ahead of the last 3 months combined. In fact I even had a $3 day there as well.

So far it looks like I’ll hit my $250 goal for the month, in fact, there’s a slight chance I might break the $300 mark.

My internet connection went flaky last week so I lost nearly 10 days of publishing time, I originally had a goal of 75 eHow articles this month but I’ll fall far short of that, maybe I’ll get 45 published.

Anyway, just a little update.

Article Performance Results

Over the last few days I’ve been really studying my articles to see what’s working and what isn’t.

Although I’m not going to come out and say which categories are making money (gotta have some secrets you know…) it is quite obvious where I should direct my efforts this month.

eHow doesn’t give you much in the way of tools to use when it comes to analyzing your article performance. What you do have is the earnings page, just click on the month and start sorting by different columns. You should see some trends show up, such as popular categories, common action words and so on. I highly suggest you use this one tool.

One thing I did notice is I’ve actually achieved an 80% sucess rate with my eHow articles, by that I mean only 20% of my articles are non-earners.

Not counting this months articles (9), at the end of February I had 125 articles published with 106 of them earning money.

A breakdown by month

In November I published 5 articles, all 5 are earners.
In December I published 33 articles, all 33 are earners.
In January 55 articles were published 43 are earners, 12 losers there..
February saw 22 articles published 15 are earners, 7 losers
And in March so far I published 9 articles with 2 earning, 7 not earning.

This is proof positive that article aging is indeed a reality, it also seems to me that it takes three months for full aging to take place.

Now that big surge in earnings I experienced a few weeks ago is clearly a result of my January articles starting to ‘age’ , this should continue this month and quite down in a few week. Looks to be a dismal April though, I only published 22 articles last month

Anyway, I just wanted to share this with everyone, especially those new folks who may be a bit concerned with their earnings. It takes time, so keep writing and also keep in mind that the articles you write this month will really start to earn 3 months from now. Look at it this way, write a bunch of articles now and get a free weekend getaway in June.

My Passive Earnings Revealed

I actually had a person email me and accuse me of pumping the numbers here in order to get sales.

I’m not really sure what I’m selling but it isn’t working, nope, not one bit.

To be honest the email kind’ve shocked me, I think I’ve always been upfront about everything here. I’m also ‘giving away’ what lots of people sell in an eBook, so I’m not really sure what hidden agenda this person thinks I have.

Record Earnings Yesterday!

Yesterday I had the highest ever earnings. On eHow I made nearly $7, pushing my daily average far over the $3 per day mark.

I also made a nice sale on Amazon, pulling in another $6 for a total of about $13 yesterday.

I’m still nowhere near what I set as a goal, $160 combined eHow/Amazon but I’m still happy. Actually at one point I felt like I would end the month at the $60 level.

Yay!! Passed last months earnings finally!

Let’s hope this trend continues….
