It looks like Featured Content Online, a new adsense revenue sharing site, is finally taking on some new authors. Not only that, but they’re going with 100% adsense impressions for the time being.

This looks like a good place to put up some links to your existing articles on other sites, hey, you might even make a few dollars too.

Hey Everyone,

It’s been a while since I’ve posted here, needless to say my other ‘grand’ project is taking just about all the free time I have. Anyway I thought it would be nice to share some of the new site’s I’ve found that you can post bookmarks and articles, as well as get some nice backlinks.

First off, there’s YouSayToo, this is an unusual site in that you just open an account with them and post up your feed. Any new content you create on your blog will automatically be posted over there as well. They only post an excerpt so there’s no real danger of duplicate content penalties. They pay 50% adsense views, which is on the low end, but still, it’s auto generated content. I’ve been using it for about two weeks now and have indeed received traffic and a few clicks. This one is worth the effort indeed since new content ranks quite well.

Next up is SheToldMe, although the ranking isn’t quite as good as YouSayToo, there’s no fear whatsoever of duplicate content. They pay 100% adsense. There’s no formatting when you post a ‘scoop’, so it’s quick and real easy to use. I am getting traffic from this site, I have not received any clicks though. Once again, worth the effort simply on ease of use and potential payout.

Now we have, Snipsly, this site is blazing fast and has a wonderful clean interface. It’s based on the WordPress platform so you bloggers out there will have absolutely no problem using this site. They pay 80% adsense views. I’m getting good traffic and money here. This one is highly recommended.

And finally there’s Webs, this site is similar to Squidoo in that you can make a website that is totally free. Like Squidoo there are modules that you drag and drop to create a custom website. Better than Squidoo is that you get 100% of the adsense revenue! In order to support the site they put banner ads up, but that’s fair enough. Great ranking, great interface this is a must use for you guys out there that want some serious linkage.

Any search on google for ‘adsense sharing’ will produce lists of dozens of sites where you can post up content. To be honest though few are really worth the effort. For me, time is of the essence so the last thing I want to do is wrestle with a poor interface or slow site. Check these sites out, I’m sure they’ll pay off with more traffic, and, more money.

FeaturedContentOnline – A new publishing site

I’ve been tracking the progress of a new article publishing site called FeaturedContentOnline (FCO). One thing that looks real good is their promised 80% adsense share. This is, as far as I know the best out there.

Looks like they’ll have their own flavor of the Xomblurb, a quick 50 word link article, as well as normal articles.

I like the policies they’ve posted so far, looks like a promising site to make money online in the future.

They aren’t live yet but I’ll be watching them very closely…

Adsense Earning Lower than Usual? – Try this

I’ve noticed my adsense earnings have been horrible low for the last few weeks. At first I attributed this to the ‘after holiday’ cool down that I assume many advertisers are going through.

But, after checking around I’ve noticed that this isn’t being reported consistently around the net. In fact, some people are saying their adsense earning are normal, or even up.

Well, I checked my profile and noticed that my settings have changed in my adsense account, I changed them back and my earnings are starting to climb up again.

It seems, from doing a bit of research that Google periodically sets some users to use ‘Interest Based Ads’ even though they may have opted out in the past.

I’m not sure if this is a bug or not, probably is, but you need to check this on your profile page and set it back if your earnings are unusually low.

Try this for a week or two, and, if no improvement, set it back.

Here’s how to do it..

First go to your adsense account settings.

Once there, scroll down to ‘Interest Based Ads Preference’ and click on Edit.

Now, just change the settings and save.

To be honest I don’t remember what I had this originally set to, but once I changed it my earnings and clicks improved that very same day.

I suggest you try this for a week, and if no improvement, change it back.

Publish on InfoBarrel? – Use Chitika, It’s Easy Money!

Easy Money!

One of the first things I did when I returned from my ‘vacation’ recently was sign up with Chitika and update my InfoBarrel profile.

Withing days I started earning some extra money each day and I most certainly will get payout from them this month.

If you’re unfamiliar with Chitika it’s an ad site very similar to Adsense. They seem to use more photos in their ads and certainly pay less per click then adsense does. Nonetheless, it’s an easy way to increase your online earnings across the board with about 5 minutes of work. Oh, and I used www.infobarrel.com as the website URL when I registered.

If you haven’t done it already make sure you sign up with Chitika and update your IB profile. You’ll make more money and I can tell you it has NOT in any way reduced my adsense earnings at all.

Adsense/Adwords eHow Experiment

I’ve heard of people using adwords ads to drive traffic to their eHow articles. I’ve always wondered about this so I’m giving it a try.

The basis for this experiment is one of my articles that is now earning about 5 cents per view, which is great by the way.

It’s targeting a very high paying keyword.

Now, running an ad based on this keyword is quite stupid since I’ll be paying very high for a click as well. So what I did is found some related keywords that are real cheap, about 10 cents per click.

So now I have an ad, which will cost me 10 cents per click targeting my article which gets about $12 per click.

This has been going for about a week now and I’ve received 4 ad clicks (I’m bidding low for views). My article has earned money 3 days in the last week.

The idea here is that a reader who clicks my ad is a proven ‘clicker’ so I think there is a high probability of the person clicking an ad on my article page too.

I’ll run this for the month and see what the final totals are. Since eHow doesn’t report clicks it’ll be real difficult to judge the true results of my ad, I’ll just look for higher earnings than usual.

If this works out I have 4 other articles that have earnings in the 5 cents per view range that I’ll run ads on too.

I should say that I’m not a big fan of the ‘pay money to earn money’ club. But this article is targeting a keyword that has some fierce competition so I need to get more views to maximize my earnings.

An Online Writing Resource to make some cash

I found this site on Saturday and it looks like I can potentially make a few bucks every week here.

MyLot.com isn’t a traditional article writing outlet. It’s actually a forum where people post up discussions, and post up responses.

I made a total of 8 posts/responses on Saturday and today my earning page showed 27 cents. I know that doesn’t sound like very much but the posting took all of 15 minutes.

Their minimum payout is just $10 via paypal, so it looks like a minimal effort would be involved to get a payout every month.

I think this would be a good thing to use to take up your ‘down’ time, or when you’re bored (like I was on Saturday)

I was able to insert links to this blog as well as one of my articles there, so the site might also be useful for link building as well as making some money.

My Immediate Plan for Additional Income

As i’ve mentioned in an earlier post I have about 11 domain names currently parked. For the most part they have been earning very little, I think in total in December they made about $1.12

I’ve been looking to make real websites out of them and monetize them for some profit, let’s face it, at about .10 per month per site it would be pretty hard to do worse.

Since I have a (legal) copy of Microsoft Office I went out and purchased Microsoft Expression Web 2. At first the program looked quite intimidating, but after buying a book (which i’ll link below) I’m beginning to understand it more and more.

In addition, many of my articles on ehow have links to these parked domains, and I see improvement in the number of hits they are getting.

So, starting this month I will begin to develop my domains into full websites complete with real content!

11 sites, 12 months left in the year. So by years end I should have all of them complete.

I know one site per month is bordering on the pathetic, in fact i’ve read on one persons blog about their 28 sites in 28 days challenge (quite extroardinary actually)

So, starting this weekeng my puppy site will go live, the content won’t be complete for a while, but again, this site only earned about .18 cents in December so with even just one adsense click I should exceed that.

My ultimate goal is to get each site to about $50 per month, which from what i’ve been reading should be attainable.

To make this happen I will step up my site specific articles during the month the site goes live, i’m also going to start publishing different versions of each article on other sites to get more backlinks.

I’m really excited about about learning how to make websites, learning about ‘bull marketing’ and getting some additional income streams going.

Oh, btw, ‘bull marketing’ is when you make a bunch of articles, spin them off (different versions of each) and publishing them on many popular article sites. It’s a way to get some ranking and hits without spending money on advertising and backlinks. I hope it works because I am not in a position to buy backlinks right now.

eHow December earnings

I have continued to bang away articles on ehow, well, as best I can. I do work all day and, to be honest, i’m quite tired when I get home. Nonetheless I managed to end up with exactly 50 articles by midnight on New Years eve (just barely made it).

Earnings were impressive considering I published most of my articles near the end of the month. I made a total of $33.05, so i’ll be getting my first payment of a bit over $34 this month.

I must say I am totally fired up with ehow, I think with some effort on my part I can easily get my earnings to about $1000 a month by the end of the year.

I’ve learned a lot about SEO, ad targeting and keywords and it has most definetly paid off. In fact, my best article earned over $10 on its own in about two weeks.

My goal for January is to get up to 75 articles and get my earnings to $100. Today is the 7th and to date i’m coming up on the twenty dollar mark, so, with the additional articles I should easily hit that magic number by the end of the month.

Not to rest on my success I will continue to study all I can about SEO and keywords until I can consider myself an expert.

Actually, I have a request, if anyone can recommend any books available on Amazon or elsewhere let me know, i’ll take a look and buy it. I’d of course prefer somebody post up their amazon affiliate link to a great book so they can make some dollars. I like to help out if I can

Also, if anyone has some tips to share I would really appreciate it.
