eBook? What do you think
I’ve been contemplating the use of this site for a while. My traffic rank has been increasing steadily and I get about 50-100 visits a day.
One recurring comment I get emailed to me quite often is this site is difficult to navigate.
There’s loads of information here, and generally people do find it useful.
The question I have is..
Should I write a (free) ebook with all the useful information on this site and make it available as a download?
-or-
Should I make a new page with a sort of step-by-step listing of all the posts that should be read and in the proper order.
This is just a thought, I’d like to make this a more user friendly site. Personally I’m leaning towards the ‘Start here’ page.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I think that having a page within your website that kind of serves as an index, and points readers in the right direction is the way to go and here is why:
You will find many users who are wary of any “freebies” in general, and perhaps concerned with downloading some potentially harmful file. Or some kind of ebook that will ask them to do something else later, like buy a membership, or provide an email address.
I personally do not like any ebooks. I am much happier reading the content online, especially from a blog, where I can see readers’ comments which you cannot see in an ebook.
I do not think that I have ever read any of the ebooks that I have downloaded.
Another thing you need to consider is the time and effort you put into creating an ebook that you will give out for free. Add to that the possible loss in revenue because people will not be tempted to click on the interesting ads that surround your articles.
It’s just an idea.
Wow, those are great points. I was just thinking an eBook may be more useful since the user could reference it without having to come back here all the time. I think you should write the eBook. I know I would BUY it simply because your results speak for themselves. You obviously put in a tremendous amount of effort in your articles and your blog (which is awesome and helpful), so it would be worth the money to gain a few insights from you.
Oh, and congrats on your earnings this month! Wow! Absolutely impressive my friend.
I’ve been thinking about an ebook for a while now, for some reason I really want to write one. I should block off some time in the near future to start on it.
