I've read on some sites that they matter, and on others that they don't. I decided that it couldn't hurt to consider them since they are being used in some way by google. As far as the Xomblurb earnings, I absolutely believe it, I myself have made some nice cash there recently, with not much content too. I have big plans for Xomba in the coming weeks and I can't wait to see the updates that are planned. I read a bit about it on the Xomba blog, looks like really good stuff! The Google search bots read the text and don't really weigh meta tags. Keywords are in the body and that's what is important.
