An Annoying eHow ‘Bug’

The same 5 articles every time!
I’ve got a little experiment for you. Open Firefox (with the PR plugin) and look at one of your first five articles. I bet they have at least a PageRank of 1, maybe even 2.
Now this certainly isn’t a bad thing, but let’s look at how, and why this happened.
When you publish an article, there’s a little box on the lower left hand side that says ‘More by this Author’.
Every article you’ve ever published points to the first 5 articles you’ve written, and, as a result, they now have dozens of internal links pointing to them.
Unfortunately there is no way to edit what appears here, so, the more articles you write, the more links these five articles get.
One interesting thing to note is it only takes about 25 internal links to get an article to PR of 1, and about 100 links to get it to PR2.
Now here’s a little micro-tip on what you can do. When you publish an article, add some of your own articles to the ‘Related Articles’ section. Make sure they’re related though, there’s no reason to get flagged by eHow for link spamming.
Add some of your own articles here!
Remember, it seems 25 or so internal links is all it takes to get a PR of 1, and a higher PR means higher rankings, higher ranking equals more visits and more visits equals more money for you!
