It’s been 3 days with no earning updates from eHow.  The rumor is we won’t get our update until Monday at the earliest.  As far as I can tell I’m missing about 4 days of earnings updates.  My original goal for this month was $100 from eHow.  It doesn’t look like I’ll make it, I should hit about 80-90 dollars.

My goal for this year is $1000 a month from eHow alone, I need to increase my earnings by $80 a month to make that goal, so I’m good for this month.  I don’t think I’ll have a problem next month either.

If you didn’t notice I did get two Amazon sales last night, bringing my monthly total to $19.58, this is far more than I expected.  All my Amazon sales came as a result of linking products from my eHow articles.

This shows me two things…

• Even if they do take away from eHow ad clicks, Amazon product links DO result in sales, in my case the average is a bit over 3 percent.
• And, deeply targeted articles based on products will produce sales if there are links to click on.

So in my opinion Amazon product links are a good idea.  It should be interesting to see where these earnings go in the coming months..

Anyway,  today I made my first squidoo lens about electric smokers.  It’s just another way I’m looking to vary my income sources.  If you’ve read my posts you know that I’m not going to put all my eggs in one basket (eHow), instead I’m trying various approaches to making money online.
